I have updated the EMP Annihilation mutator for Balanced Annihilation 5.71.
EMP Annihilation is a mutator for Balanced Annihilation. It Replaces the commanders D-Gun weapon with an E-Gun which EMPs anything it touches for 60 seconds. It also replaces the commander's explosion with an EMP blast that also lasts for 60 seconds. No more combombing!

We need to test how well this works in CA sometime, but I'm not available for it unfortunately.

did anyone actually play this or did they just resume with BA and keep moaning about combombs?

Moaning about combombs. Nobody knows this forum exists, people would need to host this mod a lot to get people to play it, and since its only a minor change its easier to play BA. This is precisely the problem faced by any fork or mutator, esp considering it needs to be updated for each version of BA.
Me and det played a particularly excellent 2v2 comet on it today though (You'd barely noticed it was EMPA though, not much compushing on comet).

Nothing wrong with combombs, so I don't see this as needed.
