-No dgunning enemy commanders
fair.
-No atlas dropping your commander into the enemys start position in the first 10 minutes.
WAI?

They are not fond of Commander rushes.

Considering a comm atlas rush can be up around the same time the second weasel finishes I don't really agree with you...

com dies= ends
anymody com dropping is taking a massive risk imo

That's a problem with BA, then. WarC claim it's the most balanced mod for 1v1 play and then a ladder disagrees with that statement by imposing a
very artificial rule. Frankly, I don't think it's any better than a 10 min truce on speedmetal rule.

One of these days I'm going to win at least one round

I created EMP Annihilation as an attempt to completely rid BA play of artificial rules. I think I was successful. I wonder if anyone would play if I hosted an EA tournament.

how many times have you spotted, made a defender, and shot an atlas down in 1v1 before it has reached your start position making you both go boom?

commbomb was a strategy already in OTA.
gundam normal commander rush on the enemy's base sound any familiar?
xta comm-rush ring any bells?
im fairly sure you can do it in ca too.
how much have you played ta again?
BA is the most balanced mod for 1v1 play i, for one think so. show me a better mod and ill agree with your post, but until then, ba is one of the best competitive 1v1 mods atm.
the rule is there for a reason, like there is a rule about not dgunning your enemy commander. if you do not understand these rules its np, boycott the ladder

I don't say it isn't the best

I say this one particular thing was overlooked.

by SwiftSpear
It's "overlooked" in every other TA based mod as well. Don't blame BA for it.

Why not? BA claims to be the 1v1 mod, so it should fix things that are broken everywhere else - and it does fix things, I can't see why it shouldn't fix this issue.

because you are the only one who thinks it is a issue?
Posted: 30 Aug 2007, 13:52
by 1v0ry_k1ng
because everyone else pointedly ignores the issue?

Hello? Are we in the same interwebs?
It IS an issue when a ladder firmed by some of the very best players openly states it in its rules!

just because a game needs rules doesnt mean there is a problem with it? wtf
Name me a well known competitve game without rules.

There are rules and rules. Note that I don't have a problem with the first rule.
