Allianz Arena thread.

Hello there... I've just released my first mod attempt, Allianz Arena. What is it ? As I say in the manuel :
Allianz Arena is a Teamwork Based mod. Unlike in OTA-based mods, you will never win without your teammates' help, even if you've been practising for long. In AA, instead of choosing what faction, CORE or ARM, you're going to play, you choose to be either a striker (Attaquant, in French.) or a defenser (D├â┬®fenseur.). On each side, a keeper (Gardien.) is controlled by an AI with 1000000 health points. The game stops when a team has defeated the opposite Keeper.
It's now available on UF... Please send me your feedback !

Well I managed to find a couple of people interested in trying out the mod, but we couldn't get it to work. When we started no units appeared, could you provide some better instructions on how to host and set up a game?

Also add a keeper bot on each side. Draw spawn boxes so each player can spawn next to a geo vent. If you are hosting the game, when it is launched, don't hit the Ready button now. Say .cheats to enable cheats, then say .team <Team number of the first keeper bot> (For instance, .team 1 if the first team's keeper's team number is 1.). Then click where you want it to spawn. You now have to do the same manipulation to set a spawn position for the second keeper. Finally, say .team 0 to control your own commander, choose your spawn position, then click the Ready button.

I can see a .give 1000000000 <insert mod's best unit> coming up!

When joining a server, everyone must choose a role : attaquant (Striker.) or d├â┬®fenseur (Defenser.). If you just want to see how it looks like, you don't need to put a gardien (Keeper.) bot.
Please play AA on a map with enough geo vents (At least one per player.), Digital_Siege_V2 seems good to me.
Draw spawn boxes circling geo vents, then launch the server... You should start with a commander, who will do nothing but building and moving your base. Hm... I'm going to make screenshots.

When starting a game, you can choose to be Defenser, Striker, or Keeper. The Keeper cannot move, does nothing but standing still, waiting to be killed (Goal of the opposite team.). As it's quite a boring job, it can be controlled by a bot.
Well, I'd like to avoid that manual configuration (.cheats, .team x...), and I've been told a LuaRules script could be possible, so the first player can choose where the bot will spawn. Problem is : I don't know how to code in Lua... Will anyone help me :) ?

You call your mod AA.

I can see loads of confusion ensue. Can't you choose an acronym that isn't already used by one of the most played Spring mod?
Shorten Allianz Arena to ALA or something.

I released a new version of Allianz Arena :

I finally succeeded in correcting that bug which crashed the game on some computers... Oh, and side icons are now available for the server window.
I noticed AA could be played on maps such as Small Supreme Battlefield. Try it if you want to, but please : try to play it.. tactical. During the last game, people where just building a lot of units without reading in the descriptions what units they could defeat and what units defeated them :)

I bet you can understand things like : + vs and - vs

Oh, another thing... Try to avoid fights between same roles... Like Attaquant against Attaquant. They are not meant to fight against each other. So the fight can get quite slow...
