anti missle weapon types

would it be possible to allow lasers to act as anti missles so its possible to implement zero hour style missle defence units?

I think that weapons cannot be considered units currently and thus be hit by other weapons, but I know nothing about spring... :)

I too would definitely like this. I have only tested BeamLasers and Missiles but I will test the other categories as I get time. Missiles predictably work as anti-missiles and Beamlasers do not. Of course what I would truly love is a system for interception similar to that for shields as that would be very flexible.

That would be great, but its probably a fairly longwinded task. I'll look into it next month if noone gets there first.

Just tested BeamWeapons and Plasma (flak) and both do the same thing as BeamLasers of aiming and firing at the missile but not stopping it. I still need to look into using a shield to stop the missile while the laser or whatever pretends to stop it. As to making it work nicely without any hacks don't worry about it too much on my sake as it isn't essential for what I am doing. It is just something I had though of including if it worked. That plus I am going so slowly that I probably won't have something even mostly complete for several years at the earliest by which time who knows what will have changed.
