Spring RTS Engine

Ok so, I quite fancy a bit of an EGO trip ¬_¬, and would like to share some of my downright funny/epic 1v1 matches with whoever dares to watch them.

With a nick such as DemO, surely I am naturally the best person to get this ball rolling:D

So basically, I would also like to see some of the EPIC steals/recovery's/intense games that other members of the community have made during their time on Spring.

So fire off, and post replays of any games, 1v1, Team or FFA in which you've managed to win/recover/steal from seemingly unsurmountable odds against. Try to keep them good quality. We don't want to watch boring games which are anything less than EPIC in steal/recovery/intense quality.

Also, don't be discouraged if the game is at a nOOb level either. Often some of the most enjoyable and dynamic games to watch are fully nOOb games.

I uploaded each of mine with a SPOILER description of the main action in the game, feel free to do the same for yours (Will help people decide which ones they feel like watching)

Then link them in this thread with a brief title of the game, including the hashed replay number given on the replay site (e.g. #314) so people can search for them easily, and for 1v1's name the players please. Make votes on the replays through the Spring Replays Site and I will try my best to make a list in this thread of all the featured replays with a rating (if voted on) for each. NO VOTING ON YOUR OWN SUBMISSIONS!

I have also chatted to Cabbage for a short time asking if he could make me a video featuring parts of my recent epic steal/comeback games to which he said yes. DISCLAIMER: He was drunk at the time (what a surprise, eh?!) and never agreed to doing something like this using a variety of replays from different players, although I hope to get him on board, and if all goes to plan (Don't count on it) he can make us a sweet video using his GOSU skills, featuring some of the most viewed/best rated and down right CARNAGE steal/recovery replays featured in this thread and on the Spring Replays Site

Also, If you can be arsed, it is worth highlighting the game time of the key moments in the game with a short description. This will make it so viewers won't miss the carnage moments, and if Cabbage DOES get on board with this, would undoubtedly make it easier for him to manage the content of the video.

We should rip highlights to youtube. Our youtube collection suffers from too much flashy and not enough fuggin pwnt!

You should have all of the maps by now.

That's what you'd think, yes.

Actually, it never ceases to be funny... I have hundreds of maps, but always need to download a new one... and few new ones seem to be worth the hard drive space.

Its a pity that the game isnt backwards-compatible in terms of replays. Lots of good moments just disappear...

That's on the wishlist of things I'm looking for coders for Spring with.

Unfortunately that's close to impossible if you want to keep current demo sizes. If you want several gigs per demo, that's doable (see Doom 3)

PS. old spring versions are still available for download, didn't Satirik make a feature that chooses the correct exe for the replay?

I lost my steal win against det, and my replays against Lion are from previous version ;_;

Best I could come up with:
#348 - Pretty intense 5v5 on Delta Dry; right team looks to be in trouble after losing two comms to one bomb, but fights back, and don't miss the OMGWTFBBQPWN bombing run by yours truly ^^ - EPIC INTENSE

Wow, they uploaded that one Tabula game with Nixa & Dragon against me and hunter/papag. Awkward - I slowed down far too much when I got a phone call about fifteen minutes in.
