It's possible. Press the F8 button when you play, thats made a quicksave.ssf file. Then quite from the game, and the springSP. Launch the spring.exe ---> You will get a new line: "Load quicksave.ssf" press enter on this, and the game is loading. (The save is works well, but the loading is often crash the game on my computer)

Since when can you load a working (!) game in Spring? I was under the impression that Spring can not do AI resync. So saving a game at night and continue playing it next day from the point where you stopped is NOT possible with Spring. Though I see the extent of the question was just whether it's possible or not.

Please correct me if it's wrong.

it's kindof possible, but broken. saves still forget some stuff.

saves still forget some stuff.
All essential things are saved actually, but it tends to crash spring..

Also KAI-0.2 has saving support, but it still has AI bugs. KAI-0.12 has better AI performance, but has no saving support...

I've recently noticed (and opened a mantis ticket) that factories after load ignore their orientation when spawning units.

For me the enemy factories don't spawn anything, the AI just keeps moving units round, but it doesn't build stuff and the enemy commander stands still.

I hate AI commanders, out of sheer randomness, their commander appears a few feet away from your base early in the game, dgun's your mexes and builds a new one and then builds a wind and troddles off to the another spot and repeats, eventually it'll see your commander, dgun it and blows up everything.

What exactly happens if you save a game that has no AI, just a normal game?

I know this is sort of a stupid question, but does it just load up what everyone had?

If so, is there anyway to load up a game that you may have played yesturday and continue with the player you were playing?

this would help alot if people were to lag out, or lose connection, the other player would save, or (automatically?) saves the current game and then allows you to restart the game.
