Widget for dynamic GFX settings?

Would it be possible to do a widget that can change your graphic settings dynamically ingame depending on your fps? It would make it possible to use at the start of the game other options then later in the game. Maybe u can enter a threshold of about 30fps and settings like shadows, water etc. get automatically disabled in late game when fps is dropping. And maybe they can get enabled again if you can manage to destroy enough enemies to get increasing fps
What do you think?

Quantum already made it.. It's included in CA iirc..

It's not perfect though.

You can download the latest version separately from CA here.

It still a bit spammy, and as Meltrax says, there is a lot of room for improvement. It doesn't use most of the new graphic setting commands.

It's set to try to keep the framerate around 35 but you can change this by editing the file with notepad.

There is a GUI version of the frame rate manager included in CA.
