Anybody have experience with Turbosquid?

I've checked them out, and the variety of content at various pricing is rather intriguing- maybe I could make a little money on the side, making stuff.

Anybody around here actually try this? I mean, stuff has to be selling, otherwise they'd have gone belly-up long ago. And making un-rigged stuff is so easy...

Heh, I've never tried..

But, I've contemplated it a few times. Although my material isn't quite up to par yet, so I'll be holding off on that.

I heard there's many idiots uploading something of "my first model" quality on there...

The quality of models there varies very widely. I was much-intrigued by their "top sellers" list, frankly. I think I'll make a pro-quality, low-poly model, using a new technique for greebling I came up with recently, and see if it sells. If nothing else, it'll give me a chance to test out this new technique. Pity that we don't have normal maps in Spring yet, so that I can test it.

I'm contemplating a turbosquid account myself. I make a lot of random models of things when I get bored and so on...
