Units turn white

Operating system : windows XP home
Serice Packs/versions XPSP2
graphics card ATI 7500 mobilty radeom
cpu Intel 2.0 GHz
ram 512MB
When I am playing BA 5.4 and when I select a lab (tanklab, kbotlab..), all my units turn white (including ennimy units, so i dont see the difference between MY units, my friends units and the enimies units... I'll try to make a printscreen and show it...

this post is to get this tread up and to get a reply, what i can do about it, what bug this is... (i handt the same problem in previous versions...)

Rather lowend gpu...try updating the drivers. ATI generally has bad openGL support (which is what spring uses), which often causes problems of varying similarity to this one.

it looks a little bit like that unit selection shader widget thingy, you have that enabled?

looks like the textures are completly gone from the units, i dont think its the lua, because i use it and it only does one unit at a time and not that bright white

White models usually means the texture memory was exceeded.

i have same settings as i had in previous versions... i tried to change settings but thant doesnt help alot
machiosabr, can you tell me more about the "unit selection shader wildget"?
and about the LUA's that may help
i have an old vid card, but it played previous versions of spring whitout even a problem

some reply would be welcome...
i played, and sometimes it crashes, i dont change any setting, play the same map whit the same players, do the same things (3 metal mexes, 3 solar/winds) and then the lab. sometimes the colors turn white if i build a metal or wind generator..
