Xray shader effect that can be used to enhance the
current cloaking effect, and highlight the team color
on units:

If it continues like this then we can drop teamcolored textures altogether.

xray's cool, but team highlight hurts the eyes without antialiasing IMHO.

Committed to SVN, should be installed by default in 0.75b2.
I've also committed the team platter widget.

Your team platter widget ahs a bug.

The insides of the circles dissapear as you zoom out. Also the greater your camera angle the sooner they dissapear, so much so that they rarely dissapear at 10 dgrees but at 90 degrees you have to zoom up as close as possible to stand any chance of seeing them.

It would also look prettier if they had thicker surrounding circles, and if building had a square inside their circle it would help building placement too.

Bump. Have you tried this on some models underwater when reflective + refractive water is turned on?

I'd like to see this shader used to render units that are behind buildings, large features, and perhaps fog.

Essentially you want Unit Occlusion as it's called in other games (ie DoW)
