There is one in development, I believe the project is headed by one known as Elio?

Simulated driver and architecture issues? I must admit, I'm not a programmer or computer engineer, so I don't have an answer for you.

What are you talking about?
Virtualization?
Parallels NOR VMWare Fusion offer significantly advanced 3d acceleration abilities to allow a virtualized Windows machine to run TA Spring.
Perhaps in the near future :)
But hopefully by then the Mac port + lobby will be sufficiently usable.

I am currently using the Mac version on my MBP. There are still some problems but it mostly works. If he is interested have him pm me and I will try to guide him through setting it up as it is not a polished process. Note I have not tried multiplayer yet.

For mac multiplayer you'd need aflobby, and an svn build of unitsync .
If you're using elios mac build playing with other people may not work unless they're mac people too.

Dual booting to play a single game is a *HORRIBLE* idea.
