I need a new chair

I need a new chair for working/playing at my PC. Considering the nature of this community I'm guessing the majority of you are avid sitters. There isn't a major department store in my area that sells a good selection of office chairs, so I'm planning to buy it on-line from somewhere.
For the past year I have been sitting on a cheap £25 office chair with its back broken off, thus leaving me with a oddly shaped, rotating stool. This time I'm looking for a bit more of an investment.
Can anyone advise me on a chair or brand under £100

There are chairs over £100?
Who the hell is stupid enough to pay over £100 for a single chair...?

Just look around at the average prices and you will quickly realise that under £100 is the low end of the market.

i have an aeron chair. bought at the height of the dot-com bubble (not with my direct money of course). 300 USD. Fucking fantastic. adjustable armrest, reclining, height, and this amazing mesh support all-round. Its a dream.
Now they go for around ~100 or so if you find them at the right place. get one. now.

I made do with a horrible cheap dining room wooden chair for 7 years. Eventually my ass started to hurt so I bought a £70 one from argos.

Damn those look nice. Too bad the cheapest version is about £250.

Don't buy a chair without trying out first, hence don't but a chair online...

Buy a ton of C4 and shape it on the chair of your dreams? :)
But yeah buying a chair you have never sitted on doesnt sounds smart... maybe you should travel a bit?

I play my guitar while sitting at my desk (saves printing out tablature/something to do while loading) and the arms on the chair are a royal pain in the arse. If in your searching you find a decent office chair without arm rests could you link me to it pls.
Preferably something cheaper than than jackalope's jokes

Haul a big-ass stone into your room to sit on, they are free... softness is overrated, the amount of pressure on your butt is the same with a hard surface and it dosn't get lots of dust in/on it like fabric.

On most office chairs I believe the arms are removable.
