Nothing like bouncing torpedoes...

While playing around with first person shooter mode in Spring, I noticed something funny about torpedo launchers.

If you aim up above the waterline, the torpedoes will bounce on the water. The higher the angle of fire, the higher the torpedoes will bounce and the shorter each stride is.

One thing this does allow is infinite range with the torpedo launcher. Besides that, it's just pretty funny.

Torpedoes get ultra-long range because they only count the time they spend in water as their life time. Btw, the only cause of this is that OTA subs fired OTA torpedoes in the same manner, and OTA torpedoes are ballistic weapons that bounce on water. If they were like water-bound guided missiles, it would make a lot more sense. But the current system also allows them to be launched from the shore, so it's not all bad.

there is one problem when fired torpedoes this way (airplanes, ships, turrets) ...

when You fire them to open sea "edge" of map ... they move further to infinity ...
