Stop uploading all your mods as self-destructing files that will be gone by next week!

Why not? IIRC you told me it's pointless because of the autoaim but this has no autoaim.

Is there any cross platform API for non-K/M input devices (Joystix etc)?

joysticks and gamepads fail bigtime when you put them next to a mouse and keyboard, the precision control gain is just too great.

I find that some analogue joysticks are better then a mouse and keyboard. I personaly liked halos use if analoge for walking and running, allow players who can finely control their characters to walk or run on the fly.

but let's not derail the thread.

Right tool for the job. Keyboards are for expressing large numbers of low-frequency events. Arcade-buttons/mouse-clicks are good for high-frequency events. Mice are good for expressing position. Joysticks and throttles are good for expressing force/acceleration/velocity.

Example: play a vehicular simulator where you can't rotate instantaneously using the mouse - like a flight-sim or something. It's not nearly as fun as a joystick.

Every UI tool was invented for a good reason. Use it for that reason.

I so wish you had. Chapp is tired of killing me in it.

fang and I opted to allow noraus to use the files as he wanted to make an aircraft battle project. I sent him the file link a day before this thread.

I played this. It was fun. I will play it again.

Those of you from tau knew about this model for a looooooooooooooong time.

I once regarded FPS on a keyboard with a mouse as cheating, when compared to clumsy gamepad and joystick use.

Any chance of pooling KDR, Fang, Smoth and Noruas for a united aircraft game on the engine?

Between my features, gundam, some CA models and real life I have no time and you know fang is busy. That is part of the reason why I was ok to let noraus play with the stuff.

Fang and I were not happy with the project but we do not have the time to really work on it any more.

Once you get the hang of it (protip: the camera is free look, but the direction the plane goes and fire is the green circle), it's suprisingly fun and playable!

Play with dodging and using the airfoils to change your flight pattern. Great fun, it really is.
