Defeat The Organization

Foreword
Some time after midnight, I received a private message from a user account on the forum whose name I am not a liberty to disclose here. The message requested me to issue this notification with certain instructions, and gave me the body of text I present below. I must admit that this is a mystifying proposal, but I am making it public nonetheless. I have taken pains to present the text as I received it.

Defeat The Organization

The Organization is hosting a battle ladder tournament. A group of up to 10 people is invited to fight against us, a group to be decided in the thread which reveals our challenge. The rules are as follows:

The Organization Member may choose the mod, and D Gun limit.
The Organization Member decides whether it is a team game or not.
The Organization Member selects the number of players.

If the member(s) lose, the challengers pick ONE Member to eliminate.

The Challenger may choose the map.
Speedmetal, Greenfields, Duck and derivatives are NOT accepted.

In the event of a disconnect, unless before the 8 Minute Mark, the player left is victorious.

If a Host crashes, neither the Member, nor the Challenger is Eliminated. Instead, the next battle MUST be a 2 vs 2 including those who were in the crashed game.

If an Organization member is eliminated by the Challengers, he/she is unavailable for the remainder of the tournament. If a Challenger is defeated, he/she is eliminated and unavailable for the remainder of the tournament.

The Organization member will set the Resources, DEFAULTING to 1000 unless the mod recommends otherwise.

If you are willing to fight, the poster of this thread will put you down for us. You shall know us when we reveal ourselves.

Interesting, to say the least. I will indeed take the names of the Challengers and attempt to document the matches which take place - I feel that this works inline with my community promotion plans, though I'm not sure what the motives of this "Organization" are.

So you have like thousands of hours of modding experience and maybe a few hours of gameplay experience?

Cute, Isaac. I was somewhat disappointed with the formatting and spelling.

How much have you drunk today?

Alright, so I have received additional data to pass on to you. I was requested to paraphrase it this time as needed, which is all to the good, because the formatting was somewhat off. I'll also try to interpret, some of these instructions are vague.

Ivory: The specifications of each match are decided for that match, by the core Participant and Member.
Snipa: Apparently the organization plays a wide range of games. The sample list includes; AA 1.48+, BA, BOTA, NOTA, XTA, E&E, Gundam 1.1+, Kernel Panic. I presume that at least one person has played each game, given this united list.
Maelstrom: I'll pass that on, then. Good luck in your endeavours.

Somewhere near a hundred at least.

Possibly more, I mod all day when I get the chance.

Nonetheless, I still haven't played close to enough to consider myself near good, so, I shall not be joining.

Heh heh, good luck with this tournament.

Better wait until there is only one member left... then if you win you will be forever remembered as the guy who gave the organization its last blow! :)

The members are apparently numbered with roman numerals, between I and XIII.

BREAKING NEWS

A member of the mysterious organization, <name classified>, was spotted in the lobby earlier this afternoon. The individual was seen spectating a BA game, and later playing several games of various mods against a senior community member (whose name will not be disclosed to protect his privacy).

"We are taking this issue very seriously, and have launched a full investigation into the matter," an anonymous spokesman for the one of the major Spring clans was quoted as saying. No other comments were given.

Attempting to discover more, reporters attempted to join the #organization channel but were turned away. The Organization's commitment to secrecy leads many to believe that it is not a benign institution but one with highly malevolent intents.

More as this develops...
