What improvements are needed for the Spring site?

I like to improve the site a bit, what would be things you like to have fixed or what are you missing?
I'm looking for small fixes or idea's I'm not planning on redoing the entire thing, the only big change I'm planning on is changing the entry page. So don't paste grand plans here unless you can implement it yourself.
So except for that what would you like to have fixed?
Going to do something about:
---------------------
Fix the "Submit files" section.
Header and Mission statment.
Auto resize of the page.
Features with screenshots. (will be video's)
An update of the Team members page.
Going to look into:
---------------------
Wiki version update.
phpbb version update.
A rss feed news page. (already exists?)
The post area needs to be wider and taller. (if it's not fixed with auto resize)
Screenshot page.
Not going to do:
---------------------
An active toolbar up top that scrolls as you scroll down.
Link page with developer links, uf link, Spring league and so on.
A help page where workarounds for bugs listed.

The header would be a good start. Switch it to a Nanoblobs screenshot and change the text.

New banner, that mission statement is very outdated.

an active toolbar up top that scrolls as you scroll down, and displays [FAQ] [SEARCH] [MEMBERLIST] [PROFILE] [MESSAGES] [LOG OUT] so that I don't need to scroll a whole page to find it.

uhhh, i hate those things. Keep those fancy scripting features to a minimum IMO. Also, that is more a forum change than a site issue. If you want that bring it up with phpBB

Also, ever heard of the "Home" Key?

Maybe a new phpBB Forum (Update).
And a auto resize of the page. I have a resolution of 1280*1024 and the web page only uses the half of it.
Update of the wiki.
Link page with developer links, uf link, Spring league and so on.
Features with screenshots.
An update of the Team members page.
A rss feed news page.
Screenshots page maybe as a gallery where user can upload there own images.
A help page where workarounds for bugs listed.

and several of the other projects, a randomized banner is not a difficult thing to do.

The post area needs to be wider and taller, to at least use all of the space that is available in 1024X768. The screenshots page needs work allowing for wiki-styled upload and mod section creation. Wiki can do great galleries.

+1 I can't imagine why anyone would still have a max resolution of 800x600

Alright I updated my 1st post, thanks for the feedback and keep at it I like to know about all the problems.
Read it all but I can't really find any specific requests other then the screenshot page needing an update.
Are you people aware that you can send Fnordia screenshots via the "Submit files" page?

+moar, it's annoying how images larger than 800x600 break the page format.

Keep in mind I also have a site redesign proposal underway too. Heres a link to the very early v1:
http://www.darkstars.co.uk/spring/index ... om_content
however I'm not happy with the theme at all, and have yet to add content to that particular setup. I'm instead developing on hidden darkstars pages at my main site.
Itll include a full phpbb3 update and integration with the site (not a hacked in css stylesheet and header in a phpbb template), new wiki, gallery 2.1 with optional lightbox, and full cms support. Ideally the devs would appoint people to oversee the addition of new content to the site structure using the features available like proper FAQs or article listings.
The best example I can give is
http://www.darkstars.co.uk which has the gallery and cms stuff setup, but lacks wiki and forum integration. Keep in mind the site for spring wouldnt look anything like darkstars template wise, I'm not snipping off a few css bits and adding a logo and calling it a new site.
Here is an indication of what tims done so far:

af I like your progress but the banner needs to be slim, around the size of the current banner.

Indeed, I am in the process of working on a new template with a variant for the frotnpage and one for the main site pages.

I probably should have asked this before, but couldn't you two combine your talents?

We both ahve different ideas about how the site should be constructed to begin with. And from the looks of things, two completely different sets of artistic thought.

Put a big banner at the top saying FR33 0NL1N3 P0K3R and maybe offer some cheap pharmaceuticals

Well... personly I hate black with white text. Thats not saying it doesn't look nice, but I just realy disagree with white on black.
The layout is fine though, that how I would lay out the site.
Also, I can't say green would be the colour I'd go for, or not for an engin of war! Red (angry) Blue (steel) Grey (Future) but green? Especialy that shade which just says "fresh grass and summer brezze".
The other thing is that the middle are is all one shade, you should block it off with variatons of the grey, So all teh body copy should sit in a box of a slightly differnt (or very differnt, either way) colour. Just a marginly lighter grey would make it stand out more, and make it easier to read. As it is all teh copy and titles and links flote in a pool grey.
Anyway, layout wize thats fine, just I hate the colour scheam.
(PS though this I have used the word hate, but I guess thats a bit harsh. I just dont agree. Green has its place. And all this is just personal opinion.)
