Have you tried updating your drivers for your graphics card?
For other devs:
Code: Select all
(3) CBasicSky::Draw()
C:/taspring_trunk/rts/Rendering/Env/BasicSky.cpp:263
(4) CGame::Draw()
C:/taspring_trunk/rts/Game/Game.cpp:1556
(5) SpringApp::Update()
C:/taspring_trunk/rts/System/Main.cpp:813
(6) SpringApp::Run(int, char**)
C:/taspring_trunk/rts/System/Main.cpp:990
(7) Run(int, char**)
C:/taspring_trunk/rts/System/Main.cpp:1047

Where can I find out what driver I have?
Posted: 30 May 2007, 00:02
by AF
If you dont know then there's an 80% chance your drivers out of date.
Find out your graphics card model e.g. nvidia geforce 6600, you'd goto the nvidia site.

You need to find out your graphics card brand and model.
Here is an unrelated guide to find your graphics card.

i'm having the same problem
it wasn't happening before, no idea
FX 5200, its not fault of drivers cuz it was running fine before BA 5.3

I had an FX 5200 running spring for ages, the card itself never caused spring to crash and burn.

Thank you all very much for your help. I am downloading an update for my driver right now. It may have well been that because I remember ages ago when I first got this PC, spring worked fine, infact it was all I played for quite a while because it was all I had(Besides Tropico).

It says sisgl.dll. That means he has a SiS card. SiS is fail and you're lucky if any game runs on that POS.

ya, well then scan your pc for viruses, bugs, spyware anything that could or couldn't interfere with Spring. I had spyware on my PC and Spring was lagging bad and the graphics drew artifacts everywhere, since then I got a new E-Machines for $300 and Spring runs great, with my 256mb Asus EAX550 Video card of course.

SANAND, try turning off all things that use shaders: grass, trees, shadows, reflective water, clouds, reflections, etc. That may cure it.

If you get it down far enough, it should be able to work, my roommate has gotten Spring going on 8MB of Integrated. Not playable, mind you.
If your card has less than 64MB of video memory, I recommend an upgrade highly. However, it may work with 32 and no shaders.
