I have this idea, TA: the movie. I want to put it on the big screen. The voice talents i want to incorperate would be guys like:Mark Hamil, Morgan Freeman, and James Earl Jones. The movie would be based upon the story of the Arm defeating the Core.

Please give more Good feedback than bad please. :-)

youve already given yourself good feedback with that smilee. here is the bad stuff: HOW ARE YOU GONNA PULL THAT OFF, WITHOUT IT SUCKING!?!?!

i would love to see a ta movie, but lets be a bit realistic...

good feedback is subjective.

I for one will abstain from making further comments due to what i feel is my good feedback being somewhat painful for you to hear.

If you can do a 5 minute demo using the same process as Red vs. Blue, I'll be interested in checking it out.

I have this idea, TA: the movie.
Ok, so far, many had that idea, and many have done small TA movies. My favourite still being Benito's Tide of Darkness.

I want to put it on the big screen.
The odd thing is how you talk in first person, like of you were a movie producer. I know movie producers have a reputation of being morons and all, but c'mon, that still doesn't make you one.

The voice talents i want to incorperate would be guys like:Mark Hamil, Morgan Freeman, and James Earl Jones.
Again, you don't say "I want to be incorporated", but "I want to incorporate", like if you will be the person in charge. Also, if a TA movie were respectful of the original material, there would be no need for voice talent, as TA had no talk and no voice, save for the intro and the mission briefing. Peewee don't say "Sir yes sir", or "At your commands" like units in every other RTS. Instead all you have is "wirzzzz" "broom broom" "eeeeuuuuunnnn" and other electrical noises that I can't even find proper onomatopoeia for.

Something more relevant would have been to say "I want the CGI to be done by pixar/ILS/SquareEnix". Or maybe "I want the musical score to be done by X". Well, wrong exemple, it should be done by Jeremy Soule anyway.

The movie would be based upon the story of the Arm defeating the Core.
O rly? It wouldn't be based on the story of the Core detonating the alien device and wiping the galaxy? U sure? What I mean, is that it goes without saying that Arm are considered to be the good guys, and Core the bad guys, even Cavedog implicitly admitted that it's the campaign where Arm wins that matters by issuing an add-on called "Core Contingency" and not "Arm Contingency". So that goes without mentionning that Arm defeats the Core, however, by mentionning it, without even offering reasons, you're basically asked to be flamed by Core fans.

Please give more Good feedback than bad please.
I have yet to see someone asking for more bad feedback than good feedback. And I don't think such disclaimers ever worked anyway, would be too easy. However, by adding this line you prove that even yourself are aware that your topic is so full of phail people will react negatively. When that happens, instead of thinking "I'll just forbid any negative comments", maybe you could have tried to improve your original idea. Also, as a general guideline, any topic that starts with "I have this idea" is generally made of phail and will receive copious amount of negative comments.

In conclusion, while the title and first line could have made me believe you had just completed an ambitious short movies with TA models, or maybe simply one of those Spring clips like Cabbage does, the two next lines left me wondering if you are a complete idiot, a professional troll, a child that dreamed too much, or simply performing fifth degree humor.

Yesterday I dreamed I was sitting at the bow of a streamlined ship cruising in a city with a Wright's style architecture, with multi-level water channels instead of streets, and I accidentally let a mitten fall in the water, and I wondered if I would find it back even if the ship turned back for me. Eventually the ship stops for me to walk back, I can't find the mitten, I have to underwater swim in square pipes alongside a water square/crossroad to come back to ship, and then later, or maybe it was before, we arrive at a much bigger ferry with a mall-like interior. Yeah, that had to be posted in Spring's forum about as much as this topic.

That surly was the greatest spring movie ever made.

but on topic, It's not a questsion people would want a movie or not. it's the question how you will make it. It's a hell of a job. (trust me, I tried it my self: http://spring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtop ... highlight=)

yea but robots dont have to have dialogue and whatnot they can just nanotransmit their thoughts to each other with lazers

i don't think you could give them voices, unless you gave them token black guy voices, like a maverick sayin YEA U PLAYEN WIT DA BIG BOYZ NOW

if this was to really phail, it would have captions telling dialogue; but that was the first thing to go. If this could be CGI, it would need a crew and a CGI program (which i want to get). If any want to be a part of this (not my) idea, then ask. I would probably be able to put people into this project (i want this to sound as nice and welcoming as possible :P ).

and zwzsg, i want this to be about the Arm beacuse, as you said, they are deemed the good guys by Cavedog (that's not my fault :-) ).
