Features, trees, etc

Some questions.

1) Does the "FireStarter" tag in weapon files not work in Spring? Because even if set to 0, weapons still make trees catch on fire...

2) Where is the info for this happening? I'd like it to stop.

3) I'd also like to stop trees being so devestatingly destructive when on fire. Hell, a flaming tree can knock out a Tiger II...

4) Why can't user-made features be destroyed? Wreckages, map features, etc -- even when hit by weapons which should literally annihilate them 100 times over they are not destroyed...

AFAIK trees burn if their hitpoints are below a certain threshold.

Is there any way to stop it? Because its really ass having entire forests burn and disappear. From fucking pistol shots.

everything about the stock trees and spring is hardcoded, you cannot alter them.

make new trees, define them yourself, and you might see a bit of a difference and be happy with it.

You must be doing it wrong. For that map, I made custom features which are destroyable. Fire with 20 merls at those globe on tripod, and they'll get gradually destroyed. Ok, I set their hitpoint so high they get buried in crater before you can complete their destruction, but at least the first stage (sliced globe) should be visible.
