It's not just the muslims who do that. Anywhere where law is basically left up to angry masses that will happen. It's basically the easiest way to kill someone spontaneously, it's been common execution practice since the dawn of time. Stoning is a very well documented process in the bible.

There is really no indication of any wrong doing here, other then policing and law decisions are left up to angry masses in poor Muslim countries, and the reason for that is simple, because they are too poor to implement alternative superior systems.

Sure, this is infuriating, but what can we do? Really, the only thing we can do to help correct the fact that this is allowed to take place, is see these countries up to the developmental state that they can afford the facilities that would normally step in and stop something like this before it happens, IE, police. Even then, it's still going to happen. This isn't that much more shocking and horrible then your average gangland US slaying.

I sincerely feel for those who lost a loved one and a family member. I hope rage doesn't overcome their soul's.

Already read news reports about it, don't feel like I can watch the video.

Considering what we've seen of places like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran, I suspect things like this will still happen under your idea, the only difference is that it will be state sanctioned.

Apparently it wasn't actually done by Muslims, the people are Yazidi. They're not even Arab, they're a somewhat odd and small Kurdish religion.

Different people, different morals. We enlightened people do rather unkind things at times too, like invade defenseless countries and nuke civilian populations. It seems to be a good idea to us at the time. Stoning seems to be a good idea to those people at the time. America has plenty of blood on its hands too. Cutting up genitals would probably seem rather unseemly to people of other cultures, but for much of our enlightened world, it's the norm.

I realise this is somewhat off topic but this interests me. I've seen a lot of references by American to having been circumcised but, outside of religious reasons, I have never heard of anybody doing this here in England. Can anybody tell me what it's all about?

It's pretty much just a cultural norm.

It's akin to clipping a dog's ears. It doesn't do any harm and it makes it look better. Aside from a couple lunatics talking about "dog mutiliton" and/or "male genital mutilation", it's accepted as a legitimate thing to do.

Supposedly circumcision reduces the risk of cancer in that area as well.
