I just use the AAI that came with the Spring/XTA package, and at first it seemed to get better and better but then all of a sudden it got "stoopud" and now all he does is just sit there, suck up trees or spam solars and then sit there. I played against it with me and a friend stomping 4 of these bots a lot and they got harder and harder, even doing jeffey/weasel rushspams, then all of a sudden this crap happens. Any answers?

It learned from you, and you are a bad player. :D (just a joke)

Delete the learning files in .\Spring\AI\AAI\learn and try again. It needs to play some (10-15+) games of a mod to become better.

This is one reason I think the statistics system AAI uses is bad as a central mechanism.
What you did was to play so much that the table values diluted untill they werent different enough to take anything useful from.

AI's do tend to break sometimes.
it may not happen next time you play.
if it always happens, re-install the AI and try putting the learning files from the previous one back in.
if that fails, you'll just haVE to work from a fresh install.
if you want a more challenging game, play RAI and KAI allied (formidable combination), or soon, NTAI

this doesnt sound like a buildtable related bug - no matter how screwed the learning values may be, aai will always choose a unit to build...
maybe it couldnt find suitable buildspace fpr factories? did you play on a map with lots of hills/holes and very limited flat terrain?
