New map: Speed Balls 16 Way (kernel panic map too)

Ok, this map is made for kernel panic, but also has the old concept of fast gaming from Speed Ball maps, so it plays well with AA mods too.

Each ball has geovent in the middle.

If you play this map with kernel panic mod, tell me how it plays.

Other than the fact its perfectly flat...

it probably is better to play, almost a good map, compared to speed "anything" else...

:wink:

I'd add a few random "structures" like blocks sticking up here and there, (not a pattern like the layout of the base) but kinda like how Core Prime was done... just something to hide behind here and there...

and you can call it a REAL map!!!

edit: ooooh! and rip those pipes and satellite dishes the other guys have done, give them credit for them, and put them on that map...

You know what would be fun to do on a map like that though??

9 man FFA.
all start locations on the center of the center circle.

futher you run, less fight you gotta deal with on all sides... but the slower start you get...

if you can hold the middle, and get a force built first! you might own the map....

its a intriguing way of play, (I've used it on many maps...) but this map, might make a nice one to play it on!

Or you could play EE, where D-guning is a non issue.

or you could just not play with lamers who d-gun... :roll:

edit: or start with a starting energy of like 50.. thus, you don't have enough power to even FIRE the d-gun intil you get an energy storage working... :wink:

If you do, you have to retexture them, because they depends on TA textures (which for instance are not included in KP). Might as well convert them to UV mapped S3O while you're at it. Or rip the industrial complex of Severnaya instead, it's better than my features.

Why i cant put those textures in the map file?

But anyways, i aint adding any buildings there, because they are just on my way, hate reclaiming wrecks when i need space to build >__>

the complex on severnaya wasn't ever finished either...

not to mention its covered in snow, and has rocks at the base though... :roll:
