can't get the LLTA SDZ file to show up in the mods section of Spring SP. I've tried all the usuals-like making a new mods file and putting stuff back in in increments, but it isn't recognized. Anyone have a fix?

So, um, I'm wasn't joking when I said I needed help. I guess no one knows how, or they're just ignoring me cause I'm pathetic or something.

I have no idea what is going on there. I am not sure how I could help you.

Ask the mod creator... He should know how to fix it.

If you just dropped it in spring, it should work, it is most likely his fault.

Unless it's declared as resource in modinfo.tdf I have no idea what's happening either. Did you put it in .\Spring\mods\?

Yeah, tried it in Mods and Base. Spring SP .8 is clueless about it. Is there some other pre-requisite I don't know about?

Does the mod shows in TASClient (not SpringSP) mod list? If so, then you have found a bug in SpringSP. If not, then it's something with the mod (modinfo.tdf in the root of mod archive is the file to look into).

Still doesn't work. Must be the mod. Hmmm. Other people say it has worked for them, but that it still has a lot of bugs. Probably something having to do with my system or settings on Spring that I don't know about.

I know what it is! Every time I download the mod, it stops at 5 meg out of 39. That's wierd. It must be a mirror messing up, or some imposed bandwidth limit, or something. Anyway, figured it out, thanks for the advice everybody. Process of elimination is important, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

This happens with strange frequency, I htink one of the mirrors is busted.

In the last 10 maps i've downloaded I needed to re-download about 4 of them because although they said it was complete before it had downloaded the full amount.

eg, MoonQuartet saying 10mb on the download page and completing at 5mb

Yeah, can someone with an Unknown-Files account tell them of the mirror problem? I don't have an account set up yet. Then I won't have to waste my limited bandwidth soaking up half downloaded maps and mods.

What browser do you use?

IE generally fucks up downloads like this sometimes, I don't think anyone knows why.

I've never had an issue with the mirrors except mirror 1 was slow last time I used it.

I've had this happen with Firefox, several times. Unfortunately I didn't take note of which mirror it was, but using a diff. mirror solved the problem for me.
