What i find most amusing is not teh spelling, but the lines:
It would only use an upward trajectory and be accurate enogh to not shoot itself.
followed by:
I also think the velocity of the shells should be pretty high so that it doesnt take so long for them to hit ground.
This had me ROFL for 5 mins... If its fireing high trajectory then uping the velocity will Increase the time it takes!

Think he means to have gravity added to em to... or?
If you up the gravity you need to up the round velocity to allow for greater ranges, and you end up with exactly the same airtime you would have with a non sped up projectile.

This thread should be titled "n00blet rambling, please ignore".

While Chrispin posts are mostly useless (unit ideas?? C'mon, do people still think ideas are that rare and valuable? And the idea is ..... nothing but the most overused one: a superkrogoth.), I think that nonetheless having bigger and bigger units is interesting, so that way, people never reach the end of the buildtree in actual game. And because they make nice first impression and cool promotional screenshots even if they're never used in practice. :-)

Oh and about uberbig spidery units, if you're not too particular about the leg count:

i think thats mostly what crispin was talking about, i mean if that spider does spit "comm explosion" bombs and has like a anni laser in each leg and a dual bb gun type head.
If it fits all that then its crispins uber krog.
Allthough i must confess those spiders look really nice, you would have a very good use of them in a mod.

Where can you get those giant spider mechs? Aren't they off of the Sup-Com screens?
Anyway, I'm trying to come up with some unique units that have never been thought of before. I will need some help with this. But here is yet another unit idea from me:

SHEILDER
Armed mobile anti-plasma shield generator

This unit would be a quite large and bulky vehicle that emits a short range anti-plasma shield (like the shield off of AA Spring). It would also have a medium laser turret on top of the vehicle giving it some protection. But see, the only way to counter this thing would to be raiding it with laser, lightning, or rocket units. Since most units shoot some kind of plasma, it would be somewhat difficult to kill the Shield. This would be easy to make and could be a unique unit to add to a mod.

P.S. Quit your fussing over my stupid King Krogoth idea! It was one of my worse ideas and just leave it at that.

Hey Fizwizz, it says you're a mapmaker. I just wanted to know if it was possible to make a sppedy wind map or something where wind generators get more energy than usuall. So there will be speedy metal and speedy wind or energy... whatever.

I'm not "marked" as a mapmaker, and I know that your SMD sets the wind energy production.

But what I am trying to ask is if there is any limit for wind speed. But seriously, where can you get those SupCom spider mechs for TA Spring?

those spider mechs don't really fit my description.

yes, it is exceedingly easy to raise the wind level on a map. However, why would anyone? It is (in my opinion) as bad as making high-metal maps.

Yea, I know what you mean. Speedy Metal got quite annoying and boring after a while because of the fact that the map takes out many of the tactics for gaining resources. And can you atleast tell me where you got those freaking screenshots?!
