So does north and south Louisiana. Each state of the union is very different with different laws, morality, ethics, heritage, primary religion and geography. We just did not have people build shit on it for 1000s of years, the native Americans were mobile.

Most people vastly under estimate the size of european countries simply because the USA spans the whole width of the North American continent. While the USA is indeed much larger, the perception of the difference is usually wildly out of line in either direction.



However the idea of using size as a metric is utterly pointless and hopeless flawed logic.

This is basically saying The nearest prison is more important than einstein because:

• Einstein is one person and the prison is hundreds
• Einstein is not fat enough to take up the same area than the maximum security prison
• A prison has more varying culture than a single person

By these arguments we can also say canada is more important than the USA, has a bigger military, more culture, more money, and is generally more civilized.

You must remember that europe has more money than the USA, and although each individual country cannot surpass the US alone, there are a lot of rich countries in europe, and they have many more people, and they have a lot of tech and military clout.

And even if they didn't, a tiny country with a hundred people in it could easily be more important than a country with half the worlds population and a quarter of the globe under its belt.

May I also point out that the UK is not a land full of white pastey people, inner city london has more black people than white, it can be quite multicultural here.

O...k... well I am aware of the Cajun and Creole people, I agree that they are races in the same sense as the Welsh, although unlike the Welsh they no longer administrate their homeland.

A genetic definition of race is most certainly not clear.

I am not entirely sure why you're defending South Louisiana / America so hard, as I never once attacked them and don't intend to. They're fine and distinct places. My argument was Wales is similarly distinct, as you stated several times that it was either too small or too similar to England to be a nation.

Not convinced we're debating on the same wavelength here, but in conclusion, the Welsh are a distinct people and attacking them based on nationality alone is racist.

The welsh have their own assembly, parliament, regional government, they have their own laws and administration too. They are not simply a people with a tag 'welsh' on them. Granted anything London says overrules cardiff as the welsh assembly cannot contradict common law.

I would like to nominate this thread for being the most pointless and stupid flamewar I've seen on the Spring forums to date. And that's saying something.

Genetic predispositions, enhanced resistances, physical characteristic like hair, eye shape, face shape and YES skin color which has a lot to do with the way said race may or may not handle different environments.
