Exactly. You don't.

btw, level 1 resurrectors suck.
I like to play around in wreckage, but this way the moment you lose a bit of area there is no coming back because the opponent can resurrect your old stuff again. They should be level 2

do you really want me to list all the ways to kill rezzers?

even if you did, that doesn't break my point. I can kill your mom, but that doesnt make her balanced :P

If they are in control of the wreckages to resurrect them, then without rezzers they would just reclaim them and build more units anyway. They get a big advantage with or without the rezzers.

Leaves the question whether rezzing or reclaiming is better for your war effort.

Well when you are rezzing, your factory is still available for other things.

Now that rezzers are a common sight, i specced a game the other night where something funny happened.

- A comm died
- 1000 metal recovered from corpse, leaving 1500
- a rezzer arrives and starts reviving the corpse. Mouseover the corpse, the metal went from 1500 to 2500 really fast (2, 3 seconds), and then it started rezzing. Mouseover the rezbot doesnt show metal consumption, so i'm afraid there's something fishy that can be done here. The comm did get back to life.

Well i decided to test it.

When the rezzer brings the wreck back to its original metal value it costs metal and you can see it easily when you mouseover the rezbot.

I'll try to find the replay and recheck what i saw. At the time there were 4 or 5 rezzers and i didnt have time to mouseover all of them before the comm corpse was at full 'metal' again.

id like to see someone going arm kbot against a core veh in a comet 1:1 because of rezbots :}

i guess its a reason for people to use kbots

Rezbots will only resurrect a corpse if it's at its full metal value - if any metal ahs been taken out of it, the rezbot must add it back first.

I've seen this firsthand: Steven reclaiming a comm's corpse, some d00d on his team tells him not to and tries to resurrect comm but M stalls, my Storms come along and kill his rezbot

I think that when several rezzers work together only one adds the metal. I too expected it to work as you say and was surprised when i didnt see any metal expense on mouseover.

its not hard to test this. spawn 1 com, 1 llt, 3 rez bots
the llt kills the com
the 3 rez bots rez the com
always test stuff like that before reporting as a bug imo

Well, now the old "Lure, Ambush and Rez" is cost effective again.

When I did the partial reclaim patch, it did make you have to pay back any metal that was reclaimed from the wreck. If the rez bots are putting the metal back very quickly, it may be that they simply have a high buildrate (as they should do wrt rezzing imho).
