originally the model was a 3do but beh has converted the ba models to s3o

Its s3o converted from 3do. Its actually not in the blue channel, because tex2 blue channel is now used for specular (reflectivity and specular are now separate channels), so its packed into the alpha channel of the normal map.
Yes bob, this can be applied very easily to any mod you wish. Feel free to try it (PM me for details).

I wonder how a war torn Flash tank would look.

Same, but with a flash tank!

Im saying since you usually have big groups of flashies it would be awesome to see some that look torn up alongside those that look brand spanking new.

Bob, these arent exclusive to 3do->s3o models. They are exclusive to s3o models. Hence why I had to convert them all.

I call that colour "Amber" to avoid confusing myself. (though it tends to confuse other people)...
if you want to think about it scientificalisticly* the human eye can only see three distinct wavelengths... red green and blue, so, given that "yellow" is between red and green on the spectrum**, our eyes see "yellow" when we see wavelengths of light in this range... as it turns out, if you combine green and red, through the process of "interference/superposition" the light waves kind-a average out to somewhere between the two and we see yellow (I forget is the waves actually combine or if our optic nerves just treat them as if they have).
**the way the spectrum goes (as far as our eyes see) is as follows:
infra-red, red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, magenta, ultra-violet
*(fun fact the suffix tic means "like" as in the "Hellenistic" period is the historical period where people thought the "Hellenic" period was awesome and started copying it. So scientificalisticly is a word I made up for when I "sort-of" talk about things pseudo-scientifically... omg why am I explaining this?)
but that post was probably made days ago... so TL;DR: smoth's right

Looks great except those lines of blakc and yellow.
Can you remove them from some places?there are so many of them i think there should be less.
This amount seems ot be a bit too much and confuses the eye somewhat.

your models look great but I would feel remiss if I did not ask about the texture. Is the texture just you working out your colors or is it an area you are weak in?

sure can; i kinda stuck them on at the tops and bottoms of ramps and in areas where people couldn't go
maybe i'll do something like -just- the top of the ramps, and maybe but another less contrasty texture in the other spots

My texturing skills are not the best and none of them are actually complete, but for now i have textured some basic things and put color schemes on the ships, as my game project will have different races, with each race having a totally different kind of ships, weapons and gameplay, which colors would help making the ships look different.
But i am planning to add smaller details in the future, but I have yet to learn how to do all that! :)
But i also don't like too much detail on a ship, ships with a lot of little doodads and such are actually fragile in design.
