it figures only WD is affected, I will run some tests on that.

the 420mm cannon was never intended to fire nukes AFAIK, it was made to show the US that they can make big guns too, the US made a nuclear artillery system which should be quite famous, both of these are not in active service, the M110 is only in the Reserves and in service with South Korea.

Russia also has a 2S7 which is a 203mm Artillery system much like the M110.

I imagine they could both be modified to fire a nuclear shell of some sort.

155mm and 152mm nuclear artillery rounds are more common though.

I also have a concern with bombs, since the minimum dropped is 2 and guided bombs don't work in Spring, how do I fix this?

BTW, I am just adding the final touches to new version of WD before it's release, KAI works VERY VERY well with WD, I am extremely impressed with it's agressiveness, I got totally owned, it's almost like playing against a player...

I prefer aai, as it isn't cheating.

The 420mm Oka could fire nuclear rounds, as could the 402(?)mm Kondensator.

I guess I was getting the two confused, I didn't think the Kondensator could fire them, atleast it wasn't menioned on Globalsecurity.org.

Both were

There were four 2A3 406mm guns and four 2B1 420mm Motrars built in 1956-57. The stats are:

2A3:
Weight - 64000kg
Max speed - 30km/h
Horse power - 750 h.p.
Weight of the HE round - 570kg
Muzzle Velocity - 716m/s
Max Range - 25600m
Rate of fire - 1 round every 5 minutes

2B1:
Weight - 55300kg
Max speed - 30km/h
Weight of the HE round - 750kg (other sources - 650kg)
Max Range - 45000m (other sources - 25000m)
Rate of fire - 1 round every 5 minutes

Both systems were removed from service in the beginning of 1960s after nuclear rounds were shrunk to 203mm size and tactical nuclear missiles became widely available.

I can just make a 2S19 MSTA-S and a M109A6 Paladin with nuclear Artillery rounds, I can give them another paint job so it distinguises between the two.

They will be relatively low yield, along the 1 kt range should be fine.

They will be added to a optional pack for players that don't like WMD's.

I've always liked nuke artillery. Will it fire at a constant rate, or do you build the shots, a la the Chernoble of EE?

That yet has to be decided, WD generally doesn't have Ammo to worry about so I doubt shots will be build, it will be more C&C Generals-ish (you know, the Chinese Nuke Artillery), it will have limited nuclear capability.

Lol any chance of us seeing the implimentation of Short range tactical missiles any time soon such as Scuds..... yes i'm sorry i just love scudws they're so beatuifully designed. actually i know yo guys are doing great work on GD because its such a cool mod looking forward to all its incarnations (did you ever get around to starting on the 3rd force a'la insurgent type force?)

SCUDs are antiquated but they do use modern launchers (Iskander I believe) now and BM-30 Smerch ;)

Insurgents would use mospact equipment anyway.

no Generals sucked the balls. I just like insurgent forces for their antiquaited equipement. (see T55, 62, BMP1s, BMP with ZSU Gaz 66 porte with type 63 mlrs etc etc (yes i'm listing off my 1/285th models lol)) Any thing prior to 1980 interests me because the designs were in my opinion more interesting obviously the units in generals were not faithful recreations of any apparent design really and so i stand by my question.

We have considdered a rebel force, like countries allied against this NWO style take over from the countries, they would be closest to the good guys since both Mospact and NATO are Evil so to speak. (they both want the world for them selves).

Rebels would have everything they can find, AK-47's, M16's, AK-74's, etc.

Actually that gave me an idea! how about infantry build in the barracks can randomly have different weapons like a i.e. G36, M16, L85, generally infantry with similar weapons but slightly different specs.

This should be possible with scripting i'd think

That would create a really cool "Here's a gun, go get the infedels".

I think it'd be funny as all hell if one out of every ten soldiers gets ammo but no rifle.

thats one of the exact reasons i wanted to know if there would be an insurgency type group because it would be quite possible to be in cannon with the game world you've created and while having them idealogically superior (and probably numerically superior) they would be technalogically inferior and thus be a really really horribly fun group to play with.

as to the scripting idea! good one! i'd really like to see that.
