Er... you want to keep it all the same mesh if you can, for baking to the low-rez, which should be contiguous if you can manage it.

Modeling a bunch of greebles as separate objects is rarely the way to produce a model that has an efficient tristrip.

edit: its an enemy for my "attempt to learn unity" project. he'll be used to bake AO and normals to a lowpoly mesh, which will then rigged with bones

No, it is actually for the donkey kong game made by CarRepairer.
Maybe JK will show me how to make fluid motion sails so it wont looks like a frozen ship.

You have soft edges where things that should be separate from the body meet it. Plus the kneepads look like there's some kind of resolution limit on them.

I would use a plane object for the sails and rigging honestly.

Use a 2 sided plane and just use texture with Alpha for the rigging, and script swap for 4-5 different sails for motion of them billowing in the wind.

Swap out the sail objects just like what myself and others have done with Tank Treads for anims, same principle different application.

Unless there is a better way to do it.

Starcraft-style harvesting - imagine the windgen is Starcraft minerals.

iirc, Snoop's plan was that resources would be added to the map in waves, so the game would be a mad rush of harvesting/controlling until resources are depleted, then a lull of spending your resources to arm up for the next harvest.

needs less explosions imo, you're harvesting it, not blowing it up xD
