I just wanted to announce that, now that I'm past the technological hurdles, P.U.R.E. will feature a soundtrack of background music appropriate to the game's backstory (which, yes, I'll write down sometime soon).
And it is now featuring a custom UI, which I will show some shots of when it's a little more refined. Right now, it's very simple changes to the default UI, to make things feel a little more like a professional title- stuff like replacing ON/OFF for Activation sequences with something more specific to what the Unit does when you click it, etc., etc.- makes a huge difference in tone and feel, imo.
Oh yeah, and the Resistance soldiers all have cute, bloody death animations and complete sounds done (including new sounds for their weapons, voices, etc.). Now I "just" have two models to complete, a huge amount of sound-work to do, balancing, and other cleanup and polish...

Where does my pending voice and sound work come in?

I'm ready whenever you are, pretty much... editing sound is fairly fast work, I just need the samples.

By the way, I'm going to have to make a pass on the MegaConstructor. I haven't a clue how it's supposed to work - not for lack of trying, but I can't feasibly see how it can work. I've probably just misunderstood your description of course, but it would probably be better if you had a shot at it.

Lemme make one of my "fifth-grade level" concept drawings, if you really want to tackle it.
I was pretty much expecting to have to do it myself, as I know exactly how I want it to be animated, etc., but it's no biggie either way.

I just really need a basic outline of how everything is supposed to fit together

Good, since anything better than that is beyond my crappy drawing skills

I'll do one tonight, get it scanned tomorrow.

Will we get SC- Clickfest funny Replies?
Or like in Warcraft 3 - Sentences who are funny if you combine them ?
E.G (Taken&Translatet out of the German Version):
Arthas: "This is the End!"
Arthas: "For my Father the King!"
or are you serious ? In that Case, i take everything back.

I know that probably nobody but me actually cares, but meh, I'm going to note this anyhow, since I haven't said anything new all week, besides the announcement about having a full background soundtrack, voices for the characters, etc. (did I mention that the Overmind's getting all new sounds, too?)...
I've just gotten a credits Widget designed... that does a fun-and-easy trick, to display credits for all of the people I'd like to thank for actively helping making this project a reality. I love that I'm finally going to be able to properly credit people, like in a professional title, instead of a crappy line in a textfile nobody reads...
Oh, and the stuff I learned doing this will let me finally do some other things, as well... more on that later, though.
Still not done with the MegaConstructor, I'll probably show shots off Tuesday or so. GMN, I totally forgot to post you a scan, sorry... I'll just get it done, as penance for my scatter-brained behavior

I just wanted to say that regardless of what other people say or think, this mod looks great, the units are interesting and stylish, and considering its a 1-man operation and the depth to which the development is being taken, I think Argh deserves a lot more respect than he gets from this community of nay-sayers and trolls.

Anyway youll have a deployable unit?
You build a building with a builder and when it finishes it transferes into a big bot like in starcraft 2 :).

Mechs do at least. Hearing them clomp along in unison when sending in a large force is quite, quit epic.

I would like to announce that P.U.R.E. will feature a custom resource UI, written from scratch, showing all resources used, gain / loss, and storage values, with custom graphics, etc., to give it a professional feel. The colored bars showing your resource levels, for example, change colors depending on the relative level, so that you know where you're at without having to even read the numbers.
I'm still working on the rest of the UI... am hoping to get that wrapped up soon, so that I can give y'all a peek.
I've settled on final designs for the remaining two units, should be showing them off later on this week.

Sounds good about the resource bit.
Is that the final two designs of the first playable side or the last two, i cant remember if you where doing two sides or one at the moment haven't tried it in a while.
Edit > just had a game against kaik, sneaky shit attack from right and went and build towers to the left of me haha didnt see that 1 comming
its a nice mod, the build pictures need work though you can hardly make them out from eachother
