bvdorp, tim, I'm of the opinion resolving things is better than ignorance. Denial is even worse. The two things lead towards festering, and an eventual explosion, so its best to tell the person you have an issue with whats wrong and work it out.

And who says I cant take a visit to the spring boards when linked somewhere? I still try to be helpful with AI if I can, and if pointed to a thread I will respond if I have something to say, but I rarely read the whole forum as I used to, and I usually skim read thread topics rather than reading them in full, as I'm usually looking for AI/lobby stuff.

So please if you havent anything nice to say dont say it at all.

Thankyou for defending me mongus but at this point bvdorp will need to speak with me in private else it'll be an effort wasted and a thread spammed. That goes for anyone else who has the urge to reply and try and quash something I said or have a problem with me, my email/msn/yahoo/aim/aol is in my profile, I'd be happy to entertain what issues you have and try to come to some agreement.

Oh and swiftspear, I did intend on programming multiple server support but I figured that would be saved for a possible rewrite should I ever get around to it...

I think it's pretty sad that when AF comes in to give his side of the story on something he gets told to leave. I can understand you might not want to speak to him/might not like him whatever, but there is nothing wrong with him trying to defend himself in a thread where it's rather important. He has developed stuff regarding Spring. There may be drama issues now but for a post like that it shouldn't matter. I'd prefer it if things were just kept civil. Recently smoth was in the lobby. He was helping somebody. Then a couple of people started being nasty to him for no real reason.

I like having developers posting in these threads, especially lengthy posts where we're told what they actually think instead. It's better than being confused about why things are being ignored, why x person isn't liked much, why development in a certain area has stopped etc. There are a lot of issues that people seem to have with each other that are never resolved. Threads can get closed on contentious issues without any conclusion. People get frustrated about things. There are divides in the community. Important people in the community go away/stop posting so much.

As always happens, I have forgotten my point. Please don't take offense to anything because it honestly wasn't intended.

AF, you decided to stop contributing to the project in it's current setup.
Your choice has been evaluated in the mailinglist, that is where you had and took the opportunity to explain your decision. Now that that evaluation is behind us there is no more use for multi-page reply's.
The problem can't be solved now, there is not enough room left to resolve things and continuing this will be very draining on the project.

You have to stop the drama, just walk away, I hope you return once you and/or the Spring project has changed enough to allow a constructive collaboration.

Mong: Felony 1 and 4, Consider this your official warning.

[edit] AF: I love AF lobby, multiple server support would be the coolest thing.
