Yay teh obelisk :D
Seeing as this is a mod made specifiacally for spring and a conversion from TA maybe you should make the model skins slightly more detailed? At the moment they look like a they're pretty plain.

They are not "skins", they are "fucking shitty face-by-face textures".
I do not know how to skin, UVMap or make anything but cartoonishly silly textures. If anybody would like to texture the fuck out of these they can be my guest...

I can UV units but am no expert at texturing.
I am still quite intimidated by the process.
But those models look great! if you said they were UV-mapped i'd believe ya.

I think that they are pretty good. UV mapping isn't important as long as the unit looks ok.

I learned how to UV map with unwrap, but the problem comes with trying to put together the 3so with upspring, importing the shit etc etc -- and my models are fairly archaically made (using some 5 year old modelling program that nobody has ever heard of).

the obelisk looks weird just sticking out of the ground like that maybe have it like the one from C&C renegade with some sort of base to make it look better and give it some height

I think the lack of "detail" is due more to my low settings at the time i took the screenshot. For instance:...
I made the model a bit more detailed.. well, actually I just made it not a bunch of boxes stacked on one another. Now it actually looks like something a little menacing. But I am not going to make the Renegade Obelisk.

Otherside, that's the tiberian sun one.
Personally I like the tiberian dawn (original) one better, and we should try to keep all the stuff from the original C&C in this mod. A tiberian sun mod can always be done later, and then people can mix stuff all they want.

He said teck level 1 was dawn and tech 2 was sun, so he may make the tiberian sun obelisk for tech level 2

I will maintain "homage" to C&C's originality but the point of this is to replicate C&C with Spring's gameplay.
And yes. All units will be included, including the Tiberian Sun Obelisk.

And when I am done "Level 1" (ie, Tiberian Dawn build tree) I will release it as a beta with just original C&C units. Then I will do Tiberian Sun units, and release that.
