Now, this statement makes no sense at all. If it's three-quarter assed, that would mean it's more than half-assed, as in, higher quality. Perhaps you mean quarter-assed? Or third-assed? Unassed?
actually, I did give that some thought before posting it, as I was original going to say quarter-assed, but I figured that the assed part is the bad part, therefore, if more of it was assed, the movie would be worse, and converse would also be true, that if the movie was worse, it would be more assed, and three-quarters-assed is more assed than half-assed, simply put.

Unfortunatly the fraise Half Arsed, is making a reference to getting even half your Backside into gear (and hence more arse into gear is bettter), not being derogatry, so Quarter ased would have been right.
Personly I love Starship Troppers. But hate teh Sequal.

a) the sequel was a direct-to-video release. You should've known better than to even rent it.
b) it was good in that it managed to be both things at the same time - both a satire of fascism (both in some very subtle and blazingly obvious ways) and a blood&guts action movie. It was bad in that it ended up oddly-paced and clumsy for an action movie because of it's satirical underpinnings, and didn't get to properly explore the satirical aspects because of the need to keep the action running along.
Edit:
on topic - a StarCraft mod would be a bad idea because it would beg to be Foxed by Blizzard, but on the other hand would be good to help drive the featureset of the engine and UI - after all, the ability to cast spells, have buildings that enable the creation of units, have alternate construction systems (gateways vs. constructors vs. drones that transform into buildings) to transforming units (buildings that transform into airships), airships themselves (which behave like land units but fly, rather than gunships or planes), unit upgrades, collectible resources - many of these things are staples of other games that currently are hard or impossible to implement in Spring without engine modding.

An unblizzardfoxable mod could be made in the same vien as starcraft, using similar features. As long as you keep stealing blizzards names and model looks they really can't do anything if you use all thier balancing.

Yep. Copyright only applies to content, not rules and numbers. You could make a game that was a 100% clone of StarCraft - but as long as you didn't use (a) any text from the game including names, rules, etc, (b) any media from the game (graphics, sound, etc.), (c) didn't use any patented technology from the engine, and (d) made sure none of your new media wasn't a visible reference to the old game, you'd be in the clear. This has been proven in numerous lawsuits with boardgame companies.

Well there's a lot of bugs vs humans out there. For example, the Kryomek miniatures line.
