Exactly. That's why there's a problem. If Americans "got it" they would be outraged. They should be outraged but they go quietly to the slaughter like lambs.
We're talking about a nation that was robbed of something like 12 trillion dollars by Reagan and the Bushes and did nothing more than grumble - convinced apparently that there's a worse outcome than losing 12 trillion dollars. Apparently they lack the foresight to fully comprehend what a 12 trillion dollar debt actually means.
The GFC was not unexpected. In truth there was every indication and warning that the GFC was in fact inevitable. However there was so much profit to be made everyone in the industry just kept doing it. They knew that sooner or later someone would have to pay. Their genius was to make that someone the American citizen.
Just a reminder

The rap also covers human rights abuses (ie, The "Patriot" Act), mass-incarceration, labour exploitation, media censorship and propaganda, vote rigging, false-flag attacks and all the other tricks of totalitarian states.
Also John Pilger is a real person, though you probably never heard of him if you watch CNN/Fox. Check out one of his award-winning documentaries if you genuinnely want to understand ->

so are you saying you honestly believe all of the people in america believe that the shit our government is doing is ok?

Really? I found their speech to be unclear. I think it was really the rap-style way they were trying to convey things. Like the mexican part was pretty hard to understand beyond the lol maid relief stuff.

No smoth, that's not what I'm saying. There are smart Americans and dumb Americans just like any country. Still, for any political discussion you have to consider the actions of groups, not the individual. As a group, Americans behave in a way that's pretty sad to watch. They're not the only ones, we have similiar issues in Australia and London recently had marches of millions of people objecting to their governments' actions.

In any group scenario I think people are little more than cattle class mobs. I mean for fucks sake obama is like bush with blackface on but the people love him because he kisses a bit of ass.
and christ, glen fucking beck, I cannot tell if he is the greatest troll ever or a genuine nutjob. I mean some of the shit that guy says is fucking insane but the scary part is there are people who AGREE WITH IT.
INSANE

When Iran was robbed of something like 8 billion dollars by Carter and Raegan, they did
a little bit more than just grumbling.
Look where that got them!
I don't endorse the actions of either side regarding that crisis.

LOOOOL
You dont know what high taxes are man .. america is like a tax paradise compared to most of the world.
My country has one of the lowest taxes in europe. Atm i pay
* 20% from every purchase (value added tax, used to be 25%)
* 35% minimum corporate profit tax for company -
from the rest i can pay self but:
* 32-40% personal income tax
* 28% mandatory social security tax (you pay for other people's rent)
* 1.2% social security tax to fund unemployed people (yes its really different tax!)
* 2.3% social security for ill people to get pay while they cannot work (this one is voluntary - but if you dont pay it you dont get money when you are ill)
* 13% mandatory healthcare tax
Enjoy your tax paradise lol
(Btw there is also land tax, property tax, gift tax, win tax etc, but they do not apply for most common income
