I think the models arent the real problem as long as someone with a decent painting-skill remakes all the textures. Having only s3o's this should be possible.

easy enough to redo textures, or even process the existing ones to match more with the factions overall.
any comments on which units currently might be the -worst- fit?

Most of the models we have by now fit fine. I think the core windgen and the core commander could need some additional texture work regarding the teamcolor.
I'm still having major problems with textures, some make the unit invisible ingame, another with same options works fine.

Caldera, make sure the alpha channel of your texture 2 is all white, or else you can get the invisibility errors.

why dont moving this nice summary of ota-remakes into the art+modelling thread? i think everyone would benefit from this (also add beherits lvl1 core remakes, dunno about the scripts)
