Already exists - that one has water on both sides of the dam.
I'd call it "FolsomDamClosed" since the dam is, apparently, closed - water only exists on one side of the dam.

TM, you're not seriously starting a flamewar with Smoth over this.
Either way, I'm pretty sure that both dam and locks can open and close, so any such name is good. I just thought that implying that the dam was completely stopping the flow of water would properly convey the idea that there is water only on one side of the dam.

New version and hopefully final!
Edit: Ok had to do V2 because of sync problems. pfff...

A lot of pain and tears making mapoptions. Big thanks to smoth for all the help! I hope them will be useful for future maps. Especially the typemap thingie!
* Changelog from FolsomDamSpecial to Deluxe *
- Name changed from FolsomDamSpecial to FolsomDamDeluxe
- Map options added including:
- Typemap on/off, off default (Gives speedboost of 10% for tanks on dam & roads and 10% for kbots on sand)
- Metal, wind and tidal levels adjusting
- Map hardness level adjusting
- Weatheroptions: Clear or Rain, clear default
- Stretched textures on dam fixed
- Randomly rotated trees
- Tallest trees replaced with slightly smaller ones
- Dam mexes metal income decreased from 3.3/sec to 3.1/sec
- Tidalstrenght increased from 18 to 20
- Fixed maphardness ("Cratering" should be possible from now on)
- Hovers can now pass the "secret" ramp in south too
- Plus a lot of other small tweakings

Should've mentioned you were making another release - I still think this map has too little metal for the appropriate number of players - it requires at least 4 on each team to prevent it from turning into 3 little games (water/land/dam) instead of 1 big one.
edit: nm, incl. metal level adj.

Now, that is very kinky gameplay issue, which is actually part of this maps gameplay and therefore not even sensible to be changed. Whatsoever, I think that with big metal income it wouldn't be fixed.
And as you noticed, there is always option to adjust the metal levels a bit to make it more suitable for big teams. You need to remember that map is not meant to play 8v8!

I love the map. This is my favorite map to play.
Some complain about how the battle quickly breaks into three smaller battles, but this reminds me of war theatres. Even better, once one theatre becomes successful, they can assist another.
I've seen the dam won through use of sea units: cruise missile ships are a great way to break up that porc. I saw a WIN move in which someone built Behemoths on both geo spots on the dam, and used them to assist north and south while also holding the dam. Very cool.
Last point: WEATHER! What you've done really adds a lot of atmosphere to the map. Great job all around.
