A couple of things.

Firstly, what is normal?

Secondly, the people who play Spring and nothing else haven't discovered or have no time for the forums because they're busy. Playing
Spring =/

Thirdly, pretty much everybody here is sane if that's what you mean. Just because some of us love the furry and others love the drama, doesn't make us insane. It just makes us viewed as weird people on a few fronts.

You'll never know.

When anyone clicks a topic in which I have participated, I want a boxxy popup, followed by a rickroll.

Chop chop! :-)

Stop that, I was going to bitch some more but you threw me off my stride. Incidentally I've learned she lives on the West Coast... northern California IIRC. Smallish town. Rosewood? Something folksy like that. Statistically if we all went there for a day one of us would probably meet her. And then... and then... *sigh*

Titles please, less colors. Only people who have special abilities should have color, it's sort of an informal rule of the internet, go to any well-traveled forum. Also, "game developer" is misleading, Smoth could tell people AA is the shit and then I'd be all, "No, Gundam is the shit, that thing's on fire yo" and we'd have a needless fight and cuddle.

"AA Developer"
"BA Developer"
"CA Abominator"
"GRTS Developer"
etc would be better if the purpose is to make it clear who is able to make informed statements about a project. There's really not all that many actively developed projects, and you could impose a restriction by saying that unless you have media proving something's playable existence, you don't get a title. That way you don't get people with funny ideas about developing 30 mods just for the glory and title-whoring.

It's really misleading, "game developer". It might lead people to believe that me and Argh have any affiliation, which would be mutually damaging to our reputations.

Awww, I'm not cool enough to get a title. :( :regret:

FWIW, I like a limited set of colours (like Jaz, urgh), like the project reality forum http://www.realitymod.com/forum/

could we put a little picture under the name instead of changing the text color?

(not that im opposed to the text color... it just might be easier for people to discern WHY the user is special, rather than just seeing that they are.)

for my own logo i will require a picture a la star wars intro, of a post stretching onwards to infinity.

but seriously howboutit?

Obviously nobody is paying attention, I added multiple titles which you need to request which are simply titles. I also removed one of the six colour options so now there are only colours for administration, moderation and engine development.

Oh, and Cabbage. Not touching that one. Remember that I also removed the Werewolf Game colour. In fact, you're only dealing with one new colour than before I started.

I decided that making individual ranks for individual game developers was a little over the top, hence Game Developer. It would be Content Developer but I have yet to decide whether or not to allow people who maintain or develop mods a title at all.

FLOZi, you need to request to join groups you qualify for. When you're in one or more, you can pick your default group, which will choose your default rank text.

yeah neddie.. you coudl go through all registered users and add them to groups yourself! ;D

I know what most of you qualify for, but the interface is too clunky on my end. I could add the eight hundred significant people I recall, but it would take a lot longer on the whole than if you each submitted yourselves and I approved the requests.
