or just let it stay nice and simple, finish adding effects and model the damn ships to look decent and not half assed. Maybe even omg use the new collision detection.

The game is fine. it could possibly use some tweaks but it is a good game

That was the general idea to start, but cynics claim TA in space is gay and carcinogenic.

I considered the idea myself briefly, as an extra layer to the PlanetWars metagame. So you'd have CA battles on planet surfaces and FF fleets going toe-to-toe in orbit.

Of course, this link would be limited to (besides the metagame) the story and any mod assets FF cared to take - turning FF into an actual CA mutator would likely be a coding nightmare.

srsly. you cant listen to people (except me, you have to listen to me). just make TA in space, you cannot please everyone, so dont even bother. just hurtle down the freeway at 100mph flipping the bird at anyone who looks your way
