For nubs like me who are often stalling the ETA is very erratic. Perhaps if it wasn't so sensitive to small fluctuations I would like it but as it stands I personally prefer the % indicator.

Adding a variable at the top of the lua file is fine for lua coders or those code orientated people but its not something the average user will do.

Not sure what is going on with healthbars since my last install of spring, but this widget now only seems to display healthbars for stuff that is being built and not for normal units . :s

I have reverted to using the standard healthbars, which is a shame because I really liked these shineh new LUA ones

Get rid of the config file where widget settings are stored and it should work again.

Thanks for the reply. I reinstalled spring and it didn't work :( Maybe I will try an older version

EDIT: I am running under linux, that shouldn't make a difference, should it?

Are you talking about the fact that only damaged units get a health bar now?

DOH! I just realised that about 1 minute ago. I'm sure it used to show them all the time lol.

Please ignore my ramblings

S44's russian units make it crash quite a lot. Or the germans. Not sure really.

It seems like it appears with all sides, which probably means it is an issue with the number of instances rather than a particular formulation of unit, hence an issue with the widget rather than the game content.

Of course, I have yet to test it with this version, jK, so you may not need to frantically look over your scripting yet...

It was happening in a replay you posted which eventually crashed. Didn't happen again, not sure if it's totally gone now though. Did a quick .give all on the latest S44 version and it was fine again.

Code: Select all

[string "LuaUI\Widgets\unit_healthbars.lua"]:414: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'height' (a nil value)
BOTA 1.3. i didnt even think that was possible for 3do units, since the height is autogenerated iirc...

This widget is broken in the SVN version of Spring, I tested with 4933.

I always had it die with a complaint about "col2". Already did that when I was testing in SVN.

meh, hates `new` unknown-files and i dislike to upload anything to there.
The widget was updated in CA several times during the last uf-update.

So the best way is to delete any local copy and playing CA

So the only way we can get a new version is through CA? Thats rather silly...

You can get the file from the CA source without having to download CA.
