Not all units are all terrain. Some units are effected by terrain, because they don't "Stick" to it like the vanguards do. Therefore they slow down.

k, thanks for clearing that up for me. i checked and the karganeth doesnt climb as fast as spiders. i just never thought that the karganeth was supposed to be able to scale walls

Just tested a thing, can anyone tell me the purpose of Aircons?

What can they do that normal cons can't? Aircons build incedbly slow, to slow to take advantge of their speed, so it's not expanding. Their fragile, exsensive and overall sucky. Build on hard to reach places? Transport normal cons if you want it done.

They are only good for reclaiming...

Air cons are the air constructor. They are faster at moving, Don't have to opren and close like normal cons and are good for reclaiming.

No. No boost. Flying adds +100% to the usefulness factror. Just build 3 or 4.

Air cons are fast but build slow. This has always been that way.
And non opeing and closing animations makes them better for reclaiming then a con k-bot (the opening and closing animation of the con k-bot in XTA is very annoying. in AA this is speeded up, making it more usefull when guarding a k-lab)

I found another unknown unit: "valkrie.fbi" (has funny m/e cost values: 1337/1337)

It has no data in sidedata.tdf, so nobody can build it.

The Valkyrie is a unit of Caydrs up and coming GEM mod, and is an easter-egg. You can only get it in the game by cheating it in, its an overpowered air-fighter with lasers.

note: remember only the host sees the extra units given by .give command. in multiplayer it WILL desync your game

Toasters and ambushers are discussed earlier.
There isn't a lot of diffrence between lvl1 and lvl2 plasma batteries.
I think Caydr once mentioned the range is going to increase (and maybe the DMG too).
