I am trying to build a binary from the latest svn, but streflop is giving me problems. Shouldn't the platform sensitive code be abstracted or surrounded by #ifdefs instead of having to use a patch to build it on Mac?

probably.

but the code isn't always perfect.

ok, no code will ever be something close to perfection, that's the fact.

Good point! Even if one person thought it was perfect it would still look ugly to someone else :)

Does anyone know where a patch is for mac and the streflop problems?

Feel free to submit patch as soon as you have made the needed changes.

The build was going great until I found out that the xcode project was out of date and had missing files. In System/Platform/Mac/MacFileSystemHandler.cpp xcode is complaining that datadirs doesn't exist. And it doesn't seem to exist in most of the related things I can see. Is there something missing?

I re-drew the icon in 512x512, and with larger borders to comply with Apple's guidelines.
I attached it to my post in order to allow it be used in the next build.

Can you make a version available that can be used outside of Mac OS X? I really don't feel like spending several thousand pounds on hardware just to check your work.

These are using my second gen red logos, not the new 3rd gen logos.

Oh. I can see these 3rd generation icons are already in a correct format, so mine isn't useful anymore.

There are no icns versions so you still have a use.

I'd like to see what they look like inside Mac OS too if possible.

Stop stealing the topic(!). Open a new one entitled Mac OS Spring Icon or whatever else like this. This topic is for Mac binary release and let it be this way.

Anyway, I hope someone is going to post working binary soon. I would love to play on my Mac.

Heh...

Cheers,
K

Is there a new version of Spring that runs on a MacBook with a dual core? I am looking for a while but still haven´t found one...

Just an idea: Why don´t open a thread (!) ONLY (!) for the releases?

Are all you people having problems using integrated graphics? I'm on a MacBook Pro and Spring runs great.

On my MacBook, when I launch Spring, the screen goes black for a few seconds, then my desktop come back. A few seconds later, Spring's icon disappear from the Dock and the Crashed Unexpectedly dialog appears.
I don't have any non-GMA950 computer to test, but that's probably the problem.

I attached the error report to my post.

Have you tried changing around settings in your preferences file? If you want, post your prefs file and I could have a look at it.

What file are you talking about? If it's the .plist, it only contains a Vsync option, nothing more.

There should be more in that file. I modified one with lower settings for you to try. Replace you plist file in ~/Library/Preferences/ with this one.
