Yeah, i guess the legit modders (argh, smoth) dont think its going anywhere, and to be honest as the only person really working on it i dont know if its going anywhere.
I'm not a great modder, I'm not at all talented, especially when compared to those with real talent like smoth and argh, but I thoroughly enjoy what I do so I'd appreciate support as opposed to telling me to "let it die."
Anyway, expect some updates.

Support!
This was one of my most anticipated projects back when it was active. If you ask around a bit you could probably find people to help out with the aspects of modding that you're not good at/can't do.

No, honestly, I thought you'd stopped working on it, we haven't seen any new news for months now. Glad to know you're still making progress!

Can't wait to see some updates.
I should have some half finished models floating around here somewhere on one of the back-up disks. Sadly I cannot remember what I was working on other than that airplane. I'll try to find out.

The game maker returned, so it was raised for a reason. Just read the damn posts and take some time off, you're downright ornery the past few days - albeit with good reason.

NO need for real Legos! -
http://spring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1775 check seventh post and further.. Use MLCad + I think it's dumb to remake models, there must be a program that can convert these and then make some changes(less polygons!)
EDIT: Some converters can be found here -

Well there is one way to use Ldraw models in Wings 3D!!!
Need both MLCad(For nice looking models) and LeoCAD(for converting Dat ldraw models to 3ds max types, which (as I checked) can be opened with Wings 3D)! And then with Wings 3D lower poly count, but I don't know what to do about textures!

Maybe the textures are fine(Hell I know, Im not even a bit of an artist anyways!) This is how Lego Car looks in Wings 3D(After importing) -

And the polycounts... yeah polycount ehem........... well ................... emm nothing special..... just 24 ..... 247.... 2472 .. 24.7K(I don't know anything about Wings 3D so an experienced could know how to lower the polycount, but still get a look of Legos!!!!

It'll be the cylinders

You have to reduce them to a reasonable number of sides. Six, perhaps, or eight if you must have the rounded feel.

Who said that I'll do it?

But then Again, I can try!

There's got to be a utility or plugin out there that automatically changes the number of sides on all cylinders in a 3d model, but I haven't figured out the right Google search terms yet...

No! The only way to get manageable models and a polycount that doesn't make you cry is to model properly. Block modeling a lego unit really doesn't take that long. This has all been discussed earlier in this thread.

I've moved to kingston ontario for university and fucking UPS is holding my laptop at customs. They want me to pay $230 in import charges because they think its a "new product." I've had the thing since 2003, and they refuse to open the package so they can verify the purchase date with the serial number.
I'm pretty fucking steamed about it, and I'm still with out a personal computer.
