Then again the arm is evil. They are the religious right who are scared that they will lose their soul by transferring into a machine, and will to violently stop others from doing so as well.
And, just to prevent a flamewar (if that is still possible after this point):

Kbots are cooler than vehicles. And core kbots are cooler than arm kbots. But it seems that in BA the more a unit looks and feels cool, the more they nerf it. I guess its all in the name of balance.
Except the krog, that unit is so un-cool it could melt a millenium on the other side of a 20x20 map. Its so lame that it needs 4 crutches just to push it into a wheel chair.

Its because you probaly never played a game long enough for a krog to reach one of the front lines...

In BA, Arm gets more "unique" units while Core gets more "powerful" units. "Unique" in this case means "with unusual or special abilities/uses". Both sides obviously get thier own nique units. Core definately gets the brute force award for Goliaths/Sumos/Krogroths. Core also gets the Tremor which is like a buzzsaw on wheels. Arm gets cool stuff like the Maverick and Zeus, EMP missiles and bombers, the atomic bomber, etc.
Static-defense-wise, Core wins via Behemoths and Doomsday Machines. Their T1 HLLT (double LLT) is awesome too. Arm's Beamer is pretty pathetic, and the Annihilator lacks the nifty extras of the DDM. My opinions, anyways.

You said it all. The only exception I can think out now is that core haves the lv1 emp drone while arm haves the lv1 gunship.

Arm is more micro-intensive, with all the special abilities/uses of their units (Flea, Spider, Penetrator spring to mind), whereas Core is more the tankrush-Soviet-general type (Reaper, Goliath, Sumo).

There are always exceptions.

There is rarely a game where a player goes core on a land map and doesn't make one of those two units at some point.
