aside from general pixelation, nice

Pixelation isn't much of a problem because you won't see it in close up much anyway. It's 460 polies and I'm working on a 512x512 texture map.

What is THAT!
It's cool, but I don't know what it is!

Now you know... I'm gonna do a series of upgradeable robots. This one starts out as tri-pod without the turret, then grows a pair of three legs for a speed boost and recieves the turret as last upgrade. I kinda forgot about team colour though... this is going to ruin the texture. :(

I think you're overdoing it with the shading around edges, that doesn't look worn anymore, it looks just weird. The color is way too uniform with no variation, add some subtle hues to break up the monotony and paint some shading on that thing.

Hmm that was supposed to be paint... a bit too dark apparently.

I don't think it's too dark, I think it's too large. The chipping of the paint shouldn't be more than a few mm around the edge, currently it looks like torn paper.
Also the entire unit is one color with a few greebles, add some variation to the color, hues, values, saturation, whatever.

Umm yeah. I kinda like simple colored stuff but team color needs to be put on anyway.
I'll redo the borders in a week and see how it turns out. I'm trying on an exfoliated paint look and have no idea how actually.

Nice! Are you perchance working on a mod?.....

I'm supposed to work on one but this is just to get better (and faster) at modeling and texturing. Though the latter still takes ages for me. Probably because I work without concept.

If not, can I have your psds / gimp file things to see how you did the texture jobs?

You know that I'm slower than a snail... probably, yes.

Yeah, where's the butt?
Probably in the Z+ direction, so it's going to walk sidewards.
