He looks like Q in that shot, but thats mostly becasue he's blurry. The lower picture is something I would rather...not see.
Ever.
1. Really?!
2. Why? That isn't Manson, it's a random girl....

My favourite bands are Interpol and Les Savy Fav.
My favourite emcee is MF Doom.
If Manson was such a talented composer how come most of the tunes he played when I saw him were covers? Plus, he simply cannot sing. That said, he works a crowd well, and is a very intelligent, articulate guy from what I've seen in interviews. And his wife is absolutely gorgeous. Respect!

It takes compositional talent to properly make a cover that's as good or superior to it's preceding piece.

I thus point the masses toward Johnny Cash's covers of Personal Jesus, Hurt, One, The Mercy Seat etcetera.

Exactly, which proves why hes actually quite useless ^^
You have heard his covers right?? absolute crap.
All hes done is found a gap in the market and exploited it, given the disillusioned teenagers and goths of the world someone to identify with.
Smart move.
Good businessman - Shite musician.
he shamelessly ripped off a riff and a drum loop thing from wishbone ash and used it in beautiful people.
Did I mention I hate Marylin Manson?
I read his guitar player john 5 writes the stuff anyhow which is most likely the truth.
Anyway... to my original point
Isaach wrote
PANTERA RULE
QFT and QFE
Pantera cannot be matched by anyone for fulll on heavy rock riffage! searing vocals! double bass machine gun drumming thumping baselines, unbeleivable live shows, and most of all innovative, catchy and creative guitar playing by the one true god himself dimebag darrel (R.I.P)
Is there anything more you could want from a band?
Dont say yes! cos youd be lying!
BOOT TO THE KOOL!!

I think marilyn mansons music is brilliant. I'm not bothered how he came about it wether he took other peoples stuff and mixed and matched, but whatever he did I like what he did a lot, and I think his covers arent crap at all. Look at personal jesus, one of my favourite songs.
ps :: I'm not a disillusioned teenager or a goth, and it was my mum who got me listening to his music and she isnt a goth either

Thats fine, hes still useless.

If so then Pantera and all other musicians are useless.
Marilyn Manson was the one who put the foul language warning stickers on CD's....... So he isnt useless!

Calling Manson a musician is an insult to musicians, but hey, if you like unoriginal, pro tooled, repetive songs performed by someone who has more style (supposedly) than substance, then who am I to complain.
Floods rocks ^^

I don't think anybody directly assaulted your opinion, Steve. This isn't a debate about who is or is not a worthwhile musician.

LOL I couldnt give a crap if anyone assaulted my opinion, everyone is entitled to one just as I am, Im simply disagreeing with the people who love manson.
This is a message board where people are represented by text silly little avatars like mine. Im not gonna lose sleep over anything that gets said here :)
Sorry but I cant help myself I love music and to me bands like maralyn manson and pretty much 90% new bands at the moment represent everything that is wrong with music, mass produced crap written for a specific market, its souped up with pro tools and lacks any kind of creativity and/or imagination.
They cant even think of their own stuff to write so they butcher some classic tune release it as a cover cashing in on someone elses hard work.
When they cant even do this they try to find some kind of image to market themselves with covering up their obvious lack of substance with "style"
What ever happened to some guy/girl in a Tshirt and jeans playing his/her heart on stage not for the money but for the music!!
Bring back the 70's !!!
Even if you hated the music, nobody can ever deny the hair was amazing! :)

Dope, metallica, linkin park, and disturbed
They sure as hell sing for certain reasons, singers sometime sing about things from their past....
They sing cuz they like it, it explains why they have so many songs

I looked at the wine glass pic again and, you're right. It IS a girl. Looks like a guy, mostly because the shot is blurry and low quality.
