To be honest I'm not surprised that NTAI is usually losing to KAI, KAI cheats like mad and abuses it. It pretends it has radar coverage of the entire map and moves its units to stay at maximum range, which makes it impossible to detect them for NTAI since NTAI relies on scouts to know where the enemy is and a scout would never see KAI's units (perhaps if NTAI could deduce enemy positions from incoming projectiles but I think that's asking for a bit much from an AI coded in someone's spare time). Of course it depends on the mod being played, perhaps it doesn't matter as much in a mod where radar coverage is ubiquitous and ranges aren't that large.

.cheat
.aicheat

Full KAI style LOS including 300 handicap and 3 extra commanders. AI for the insane.

I can only hope that KIA dosn't use these powers for evil, but rather uses them to continually entertain us matcho dudes.

I would like you to stay, given your ability and general contributions. I devote eight hours a day to work, eight to other people, four to sleep and four to myself. I understand the strained day, but I assure you, your labours bring joy to the whole player base. Except maybe Krogothe.

Thats something I was working on last night.

You can set nanospray to be the colour of your team in options, or you can define a default colour in the unit fbi.

You can also turn off nanospray completely.

I have one or two things to iron out first, like making those nanoframes a little brighter, and for some reason in the svn build factory nanospray goes all over the place rather than into a confiend beam like unit nanospray.

good job! I think it would be neat to have your nanosprays/nanoframes appear in your teamcolor.

Awesome, I love it. It's wonderful, I can't wait to see it in-game (honestly, teamcoloured nanospray would be an intelligent default), and with a little work it can help Spring look a little better for non-TA mods. For example, making the wireframe brown, removing the "skinless" stage of construction, and removing the shimmer/self-illuminate effect from a unit under construction would be a good way to make a building look like it's being built up with a frame/scaffolding.

very cool - ME WANTS! :o

edit: this will create an excellent opportunity for it to look a little more special in 'magic' mods. if you can set each players colour to anything why not let them choose with a colour picker (defaulting it to the teamcolour or green)?

Just for that you should stay =)

And when it's done, it should be in Spring by default.

I want either red or orange nanospray - that sounds interesting...

Spring needs all the skilled coders it can muster up. Thanks for the efforts AF!

There's one more item to cross off my wishlist :D

Any chance of this acctually being included powers that be?

A patch was made and sent to the mailing list for it, it works and has a few minor changes from the above shots, although there's a single line that it changes that needs reverting

does it work with S3O?

Currently the S3O buildframescolor are based on the skycolor i think...

that should be fixed

hmm, the nanospray colour and s30 system arent related.

Although i did look at the function SetS30TeamColour to get the team colour and thats working fine with 3d0s with no mention of the sky colour...
