Grassdetail is completely irrelevant knorke, because at detail of 3, the grass only renders when it;'s about 10 feet from the camera.
...vs being turned off completly. Just tested: When zoomed to ground, on map with dense grass, with my computer:
No grass visible: ~100 fps.
Zoom just a bit until grass shows: ~60 fps.
Does not matter so much for me because fps is still good enought, but for some it can make a difference.

You can't really use your computer as a metro because it is beyond bottom of the barrel specs.

That said, grass being turned off is a good thing due to the fact that grass in spring is crap anyway.

Hmm so you haven't managed to get Bumblebee working, what's your problem with it exactly? I've got a 660M, almost the same as your 650M, and can run BA just fine 1920x1080 and with high end detail settings.

Me? Bumblebee with that Primus thing worked just fine. For a few days(weeks?). Then some Ubuntu update occured and it no longer worked at all. Tried a few things to turn it around. When I reached to the yeah-just-reinstal-ubuntu I just gave up and returned the computer.

I didn't knew that Nvidia was within 1(?) month of releasing a driver that finally had Optimus support... At that time, it was nearing one full year since the 650m (or Optimus?) had first came out and Linux support (not for the Optimus tech, for using the gfx card at all!!!) was completely inexistent. How could I not return it and lose that linux-Nvidia-is-better respect!?
