What's the current situation with BAR now? Just logged on to the lobby to see if anybody was playing it and there's not even any autohosts for it on the current engine version :(

It ticks along, when we have time

There is [ACE]Ticot, which runs Spring 98.0, as the main testing host. Current testing versions of BAR are fully fit for 98.0.

The models are (basically) all there, although I expect some of them will still be tweaked. The ingame UI is partially complete, but it is quite useable. Chickens is fully functional (enable the modoption, etc etc) and either that or 1v1s is the best way to test BAR atm. The singleplayer stuff is not available for testing (but the missions are in the repo and you can see them inside the mission editor as we used too).

Why not just put it on github? Each user gets a private repo to use if it must be kept private.

I think the current devs prefer svn to git(hub).

does it crash regulary (i'm only reporting here, when its offline for several hours)?

if so, maybe memory is broken / test https://github.com/google/rowhammer-test

else it could be capacitors/ disk / power supply.

Nah, we had a major storm hit us and were without power for two days, even my fishies were quite upset by it (#nofilter).
The server uptime is something i would call 'reasonable' : http://imolarpg.dyndns.org/munin/locald ... ptime.html
