Pyros always leave heaps, never wrecks. But these heaps are resurrectable, and have the amount of metal you'd expect a wreck to have, compared to the units cost.

 Endlessly

Code: Select all

i had alot of fun with stumpys at front for a long time

only thing that sucked... all cons started assisting factory

else i would have eaten so much metal... steamroll

what that widget again that makes cons assist fac?

If they were noob metal would have been massively lost. As if someone too noob to turn off widget was really running that tight an economy

Learning widget is painful, you have to know what to disable, poeple have no idea, this above proves it. I get confused too. And the opnioon of poeple usign widget every single day and coding them certainly wont make a point about any of this.

I usually switch factory guard on/off a couple a times per game. It is not a real noobtrap when it is on because you can always just grab the cons and have em do whatever they need to do but we all know how intense battle can take hold of you attention :) Before you know it 10 cons are assisting the lab instead of moving to the front :)

I'd be in favour of having it turned off by default.

if you want to assist a factory you build nanos, cons are there to get metal from the battleground, the default setting is just silly

whay if every con, when built, builds a nano next to fac, and then goes to the front? ;-)

or every second con assists fac only.

or con only assists fac if metal storage is at 50+%

or ...

Hoijui, the above conditions should be done by user widgets, not mod side.
Also, factory guard has been disabled by default in SVN (thanks VBS!)

Thanks. It is a bit confusing to have this as a default behavior.

evilPHish Guys, just came back from a year of abstinence and noticed something in BA changed my key shortcuts for build spacing to B and N instead of X and Z. Anyone got an idea how I get rid of that? It completely ignores my spring keybindings...

I totally disagree with this, imo default building keybinds were one of the best things to happen.
