I think this whole 'most posts' obsession is unhealthy. Some people are more verbose than others; some people have more time to spend on these forums than others; that is really that!

As for inactive users, it is concievable that folks register just in case they need to PM people for stuff. I didn't, but I shared a few thoughts with Alantai Firestar recently - some people may just register 'in case' they need to.

And there are those who are so very paranoid they'll register and then never dare to post because they thing we're a closed cult who'll flame any newcomers, which is simply untrue.

There are more reasons than stars in the sky. But I have to ask - even though this has already been stated - WHO CARES? Crikey, who's where on the post sheet - a waste of time even discussing it! Blimey, just look out the window - if you're bored enough to discuss this take a walk, go for a hike, find SOMETHING to do 'cos you've hit rock bottom!

It disturbs me what alantai's postcount is when I consider how he's on an hour and a half limit per day...

I was just checking the memberlist today, and there a multiple accounts (about 10 pages worth) with links to products that no one would come here to buy.
eg

http ://vip-online-gambling-high.9a7.net/
http ://???freepaga.com - all of these probably.
http ://starsthumbs.net/
http ://???phentermine??? - insane numbers of these.
http ://???mortgage???
http ://nakedpost.net/
http ://nofeeporno.net/
http ://hardelight.net/
http ://iillness???.com/
http ://jenny-mccarthy.nm.ru/jenny-mccarthy/sitemap.htm
http ://???.tripod.com/ - loads of these, some just might be genuine.
http ://gambling-online-casino-super.p-r-w.com/
http ://cheap???
http: //3xstar.net/
http ://bestjob.dp.ua/search/

???=wildcards, links deliberately broken with a space.

There are probably others less obvious.
A simple admin search might be; website link given, but no posts or location info. Email is sometime given on these accounts.

Ahh, google referrer spam. The belief that stuffing a link to your site every place you can will push up it's google rank and fetch you more hits. This is why google obeys the ref=nofollow tag in links, and why any user-driven website should be designed to force user-made links to do so.

Very clever to put it in a place unlikely for people to notice and complain.

These accounts are spam. Quiet, hard to notice spam, but spam. Terminate with extreme prejudice.
